Student Organization Advancement Fund

UTEP is home to over 200 student organizations that support a variety of interests. Organizations range from academic to cultural, social to service and many more! Being a part of a student organization provides countless opportunities to learn and refine skills, become a stronger leader, discover new interests, build lifelong friendships, and make a difference.

Minerpalooza serves as one of the biggest fundraising and marketing opportunities for student organizations. Now more than ever, student organizations are seeking support with fundraising efforts that will provide them with the resources they need to continue to succeed in a virtual setting. In response to COVID-19 and the significant impact on student organizations and fundraising needs, the Student Engagement & Leadership Center has created the Student Organization Advancement Fund. This fund will support the advancement of student leaders and student organizations through the financial support of their members and various initiatives.

Funds will be allocated for:

• Providing scholarships to organization leaders who may have been affected by COVID-19
• Student organization advancement initiatives including but not limited to:
  • Organization growth and sustainability  
  • Organization recruitment and retention  
  • Organization sustainability  
  • Philanthropic efforts of each organization
  • Leadership and professional development  

Your gift to the Student Organization Advancement Fund offers UTEP student organizations financial support that can help them continue to stay engaged, develop their skills, and keep them on track with their organization's success. Information for how to give will be available in early August. We hope you will consider making a gift to support the integral role that student leaders and student organizations play at UTEP and in our community!
