Is my donation a charitable contribution?

Gifts to projects featured on Pick A Project are considered charitable contributions to The University of Texas at El Paso to the extent provided by law. Consult your tax advisor for more information. The minimum when making a gift online is $5.

Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?

Yes! You will receive a gift acknowledgment and receipt from The University of Texas at El Paso.

How can I double my donation?

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the Pick a Project website.

Can I give by mail or phone?

Pick A Project provides a platform to easily make online gifts. If you are interested in giving to a particular project by phone or mail please contact givingto@utep.edu for more information.

I don't want to make a donation at the suggested levels. Can I still support this project and be counted?

Of course! The levels are simply intended for you to better understand how your gift will make a difference. Simply fill in the amount you'd like to donate in the top most field under Please enter the amount you would like to contribute, and then complete the rest of the donation form.

Can I make an anonymous donation?

We are happy to respect your privacy and you are free to hide your name, the amount you donate, or all information regarding your donation from a project's donor wall. If you select this option, you will not receive any form of public acknowledgement for your gift (e.g., social media shout outs). However, selecting these options does not mean that your donation is anonymous to the staff at The University of Texas at El Paso, and you will receive donor credit and all applicable tax benefits.
