Help bring the magic back! Support season two of the Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival.

Because of your generous support, last year’s Festival production of As You Like It was a terrific success. In collaboration with the Kern Place Association and the UTEP Department of English, we served more than a thousand audience members from all over El Paso and provided a market where more than a dozen local vendors showed their wares.
Now we are asking for your help to support season two! This September, join us under the stars in Madeline Park for a free, family-friendly, and bilingual adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Our cast this year includes UTEP students, guest professionals, and even an audience walk-on role! You can expect the same family-friendly story telling style you loved last year, with an expanded market and more live entertainment.
Like last year, the festival will feature a market with arts, crafts and food vendors, including sandwiches from Kern Place eateries Pilón and Savage Goods. Preshow entertainment will include dancing lessons, a juggler, a tarot card reader, and live performances by groups like El Paso Opera and Capoeira El Paso.
The second season of the Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival will run September 22, 23, 29 and 30 from 6pm – 9 pm. Patrons are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets.
Help us reach our goal of $3,000 by August 31 to unlock an additional $1,500 grant from UTEP’s College of Liberal Arts that supports this annual event!

If the fundraising goal for this campaign is exceeded, additional donations will support other programs in the UTEP Department of English.
